    Hi everyone,

Does anyone know any different between using "local machine" administtrator account and "domain" administrator account to install software on PCs (those PC have joint domain already) ? Because I remember that someone told there are some kind of different and will cause some problems if using the wrong account to install software in the domain's PC, and I totally forgot what it is..
    Thank you

At very beginning, the "domain administrator" does not have the right of "local administrator ".

Actually, it is better to create a domain user other than "domain administrator" and add it to local administrators group. Then, this user will have all the privilege of local administrator.

Publish the application using Group Policy.
Let the Domain user install the application under their profile.

All the PCs on my network are.

It automagically happened when the PCs were added to the Domain.

    Cheers.

By default on a Win 2003 domain, Domain admins have local admin rights. I think the same is true with Win 2000 domains.

    Hi Bill,
As you said, I can publish that by using Group Policy. Could you please tell me more about that, or where I can find the step-by-step guide to show me how to configure it ? Thank you so much...:D
