    Hi there

Im having problems in opening Outlook Express or should I say that it wont open whatsoever. All i see is the loading window and then nothing, I dont even get an error message to say that there is a problem.

It was working fine yesterday until I downloaded and installed the new Internet Explorer 7. I also removed IE7 afterwards to see if this helped but its still the same.

Could anybody please shed some light on this or advise on what I could do to sort out the problem? Im hoping that I wont have to reinstall the program because I have lots of emails/contacts that I really dont want to lose. :(

Help would be much apreciate, many thanks in advance :)

I am certainly not an expert, but I have had a problem switching between identities for a couple years now and the only temporary fix was to right click at the bottom and click on tack manager and the processes tab, go to msimn.exe and select then click end process on bottom right corner. Other than that, have you rebooted, which also may correct it, I assume you have.

Hi thankyou very much for the suggestions and advice :)

I am going to try everything mentioned when I have a little more time and get to the bottom of it. Id love to know what caused it. Before I logged on to view the thread I had dowloaded Mozilla Thunderbird and on the install it automatically imported all my OE mail folders and settings which Im really happy about because I havent lost a thing as I was convinced I had at one point. I really like the interface and useability of this so I am definately going to stick with it for the time being. I am looking forward to getting the new Vista OS when it is released and I believe this has a new mail program also?

Thanks again and for your welcome

    Simon
