Win 98SE Dial Up not wanted

    1. I have installed Hi Speed Cable Internet and the Dial Up keeps appearing. I have deleted the DuN IP and the connect box has nothing in it. Should I go to Control Panel, Networks and delete the DUN? Also should I go to CP, System and delete the DUN that is there (the cable is also shown).
    The DUn box all the information "Do not Connect" etc is grayed out.

    If you're using IE, click on Tools->Connections tab->select Never Dial

    All items on are greyed out. I also get the dial up connection box in Outlook express. Sorry for the delay but had problems changing my Email address here.

    old bear--Don't have Win98 to look at, but in Control Panel, do you have something like Network Connections? If so, click on it and then right click on the DialUp icon|Delete.
    If that does not work, in Device Manager, click the + next to Modems, right click the dial up modem|Uninstall.
