Okay, well before this all happened I had a few trojans. But I deleted them but I'm guessing it effected my Local Area Connection and there's atleast a 400-450 packet loss and I can't play online games because my internet connection seems to weak and loading of webpages is extremely slow, I know it's not my modem because I had a Internet technician come in and checked my modem so it's a problem with my computer sorry if I haven't included enough info but just let me know if you need more.

Please disable firewall ping protection. See this FAQ section for more information." and I wen't to to the FAQ section but they didn't have my AV provider. Also when I wen't to the Troubleshooting I got abit confused and couldn't finish it..:(

    Hi Kevin
OK, Lets check your settings with what I have. I am useing a DSL connection. Make sure you write down what you have before changing anything.
    See the thumbnails below.

In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically

Tell me what you have in the box under "This connection uses the following items "

Hey Geri, everything in my Local Area Connection Properties match yours except "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" below the "This connection uses the following itmes" ...in "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" everything in there matches yours to and I don't know if this matters but up top in the "Connect Using" section it's different then yours.

    Hi Keven
    You can read this...
    http://www.computing.net/networking/wwwboard/forum/24683.html

Are you using Cable or DSL, If cable make sure you check every connection, even the ones outside your home.

It seems that everything keeps pointing back to the ISP.

I would call them (again if you have already) and stick to the fact that it is their problem and they need to fix it.
Then maybe think about a new ISP.

I am using DSL and about calling them, yes I did already and had a technician come in but the problem wasn't with my modem or connection as it seems... he hooked up his labtop up to my modem and things worked the way they were suppose to. He said the problem was in my computer and he couldn't do anything about it...

    Hi Kevin
If the modem is OK, and the settings are correct then make sure your connections are OK, Unplug them and plug them back in. make sure you have a good connection,
If that does not work I would then suspect the Ethernet card or adapter. and the only way I know of checking that is to take it to a place that can check it, you would have to call different places to see who could check it out to see if it is working right.
