    Hi Santiago
Welcome to the boards! What do you normally use to email with? You won't be able to write anything in that choice box...but there should be a drop down arrow to the right of it to let you choose which email editor to use?

    Hi Santiago
Thank you for the email.......but if we stick to this post....others will be able to learn from it as well?
What version of Outlook Express are you using?
Have you checked to make sure Internet Explorer is set as your default browser?
Have you gone through the control panel....under add remove......and tried to repair your outlook Express?

If you click on the littlt mail icon at the top of your browser Outlook Express should open and ask if you want to use it as your default. If nothing happens when you click the icon, it likely means that OE isn't functioning and will have to be reinstalled.

    Please post here?
Have you tried going to Windows updates and downloading IE 5.5?

Is this what you were talking about for the "run" command?

Click Start , and then click Run .
In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK :
    rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"
NOTE : This command is case sensitive.

    Hi Welshjim!
Thanks for helping out! :) I'm not sure where Santiago got to. He's emailed and Pm'd and posted new threads.....but never in the same place. :D Hopefully we can get him to post back to this thread.

Daizy--Santiago opened a new thread--same question-- as of today, but it was closed again with a reference to this thread. Strange he will not read/comment on the suggestions already offered. Maybe he just wants to bump up his post count.

Bub - maybe if you answered some of the questions as part of this thread instead of email or a bunch of other threads, someone could follow the problem and attempted fixes well enough to try to give you and answer.

    Outlook Express

Once again,,, here is my prob.

the message I get everytime I try to use a shortcut (e-mail lynk) in Internet Explorer is the following...

    Problem with shortcut.
Cannot send mail. No mail program is set up to send mail using Internet Shortcuts.

In Control Panel----Internet Options----Programs---- (E-mail line is blank, I have no options to choose from. Outlook Express should be there when I scroll right, but there is nothing.

    - I just finished dowloading IE6 which comes with Outlook Express 6...... no luck...
    - I had this same problem before, I was told to type a command in the RUN prompt from START, it worked. The problem is I don't rem. what to type.

Does anyone know what this command is, please help...
    Thanx.

    (and thanx Daizy)

    Aw Santiago !

I think folks are getting a little impatient with you altho they want to help you mightily. Try "scroll up" in this thread[move the long vertical bar on the far right of your window upward with your mouse pointer] (and the only one that you should work with as many have asked you) and you will see Daizy's suggestion for what to type in the Run box. You probably have your answer many times over if you'll just settle down and work with this one thread via the "Post reply" button down below. I wish you luck and when you figure out the procedure all will be well. Promise. :D

Well I guess I don't understand because you say and
. You say it worked so why don't you scroll up and look for the command again and repeat? Am I missing something? This is now a two pager so have you tried to click on page one (below)?
