slow pc

I installed ie7 now pc runs slow starting and closing also changing web pages ran spy bot websweeper avg all showed no virus or spyware? thank you

Nothing on your system to suggest malware. I'd perhaps try trimming some of your start ups.

Here is an excellent site for that:

Just go to the appropriate letter, and search for the process/exe, they will give good detailed info regarding it, we use it quite often. If you can't find it there, then use Google.

It could be that IE7 may not like playing with one of them, or a combination of them.

We have a couple of IE threads in the XP forum, you may also want to check those out too.
