While I'm waiting for a bluetooth adapter (BU-20) for my Canon printer to arrive, I've been reading up on "making a bluetooth connection ".

It mentions... "A Bluetooth passkey (PIN code) is required for you to connect to the printer. Please make a note of your Bluetooth passkey before you start the set-up process. "

Question: Will this "passkey (PIN code)" come with the BU-20 adapter?

    Then is states:
"If you are connecting to the printer for the first time, enter the passkey for the device from the [Bluetooth Passkey (PIN Code)] window, and then click on the [OK] button. "

This sounds like a window will pop up with the "passkey pin code ". If this is the case, why did they state "make a note of the passkey pin code BEFORE starting the set up process?

    Toshiba Bluetooth Manager

Adapter arrived. Set up printer for bluetooth. Toshiba M45-S269's Bluetooth Manager can't find my bluetooth enabled printer. It keeps telling me "bluetooth is not ready ". Printer is turned on and set up correctly for bluetooth.

    Toshiba Tech Support

After talking with Toshiba Tech support via phone, I was told my notebook does NOT have built-in Bluetooth and I would require the Toshiba Bluetooth Adapter.

Thanks for letting us know AceH. I don't think many of us use Bluetooth (yet). It seems to be becoming quite popular for headsets, etc.

I hate to even post this because it will probably wind up getting sold out, but here's one deal that will solve your problem very inexpensively. I've linked to this one (V1.2) instead of a V2.0 because it has a better software package with it. I'm using it with a wireless GPS receiver and a printer when on the road. If you want the best of all worlds, buy this one for the software and a version 2.0 for another $8. Pretty amazing little device.

    ;)
