Word 2002 Winword.exe

I am attempting to help my sister with this one. After typing a few paragraphs in Word, it suddently closes and she receives the following message:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Winword.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.

She has Windows XP Pro edition.

I sure will appreciate any help.

Thanks for your post. I don't think either applies. I had her check her Word add-ins and she has none. Also, she does not have Adobe 7.0.

Any further ideas?
