I think I need to re-install XP.

    Hi all,

    Besides my Firefox no longer working, there are a bunch of other "issues ". Without causing a system meltdown, can I just install a fresh copy of XP over my current install to hopefully remedy all these problems?

    That would still leave you with the stuff that *could* be the root of your problem: viruses, spyware & other nasties...
