Defragment your hard drive. It sounds as if any space being used as a buffer is fragmented.

    Hi ThisGirlRox,

Try running chkdsk and see if it comes up with anything.

For instructions, bring up Help and Support on the Start menu and type chkdsk into the search box.

I forgot to mention earlier, but this could well be a codec problem. Determine the codec being used, and see if you can find an update or replacement.

LOL...okay. I'll work on that although it's basically Greek to me.

I have AVG Free editon as my antivirus program and when I scan nothing comes up. But..... I decided to do a Free Scan with StopSign and supposedly I have Trojan.Isbar.439 or some such thing?? Of course they want me to purchase their program to get rid of it. But, can anyone tell me, is this a real Virus? And if so, why doesn't AVG pick it up?

    Hi ThisGirlRox,

    Download and run HijackThis:

Download from here http://radiosplace.com/ latest version 1.99.1

Download it to it's own folder, for example create a folder C:\HijackThis

unzip (double click on zipped folder)

    click on the execute

click on Do a system scan and save a logfile and save to the folder you just created

copy resultant .txt file and paste into your next post

Start a new thread in the Virus/Spyware Removal section and one of the security people will look at your HJT log.

    Regards - Charles
