I am having a nightmare with my PC and hope somebody can help me with this. When I turn it on I get a box saying Stop Device does not work in this operating system and when I turn my PC off I get an end programme box saying "cardreaderlookup" and I have to physically end it.

I cannot find what these are are can't get rid of them - any suggestions.... PLEASE  .

    Hello nikki,

Do you have a card reader or printer with memory card slots connected to this PC?

You can try using the following MS cleanup tool:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6d-8912-4e18-b570-42470e2f3582&displaylang=en
To look in the Event Viewer:

Right click on My Computer, then Manage.
On the left you will see Event Viewer. Expand that (click on the plus sign).

Then click on System. See if there are any errors being logged by the system when the problem occurs. Look for 1517 and 1524.

Right clicking on a line and then clicking on Properties will give you a window with more info concerning that line. You'll see in the top section right below the down arrow, a text graphic sysmbol. Clicking on that will place the error info text into your clipboard (memory). Bring up Notepad and right click and paste, that will transfer it to Notepad. You can then paste the text into your next post here.

Before using this tool, make a manual System Restore point - this tool modifies the registry.

    Regards - Charles

Are you running any trial or other version of Adobe Photoshop or Photo Album?
Adobe Reader with the associated Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition?

Remove the Adobe trial versions if so.
