Hi - firstly I apologise if this has a really simple answer. I am usign Outlook 2003 (SP2)

Just recently every time I include a URL link (e.g. www.address.com) within an outgoing Outlook message it converts it when sent to read:

    HYPERLINK "http://www.address.com/" http://www.address.com

or for an email address - "HYPERLINK mailto:aaa@bbb.com aaa@bbb.com "

This is particulary annoying in email signature and when inserting longer URLs. This has only started recently and I have tried changing settings within the Mail Format options (e.g. deslecting word as email editor, Rich Text vs HTML etc)

    Any advice/ideas greatly appreciated

    Regards

Change it so that word is used as your email editor.

To do this go to Tools > Options > Mail Format

Check the box that says "use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages "

    Using Word doesn't work!

I have the exact problem as posted by scram100. I do use Word as my email editor in Outlook 2003 but my messages, after I send them, continue to display as scram100 describes. Is it a setting that controls the way I view messages or do all my recipeints see the hyperlinks displayed this way? Any other ideas on how to fix this?
