MS/Word Problem

This just started yesterday. Everytime I open a Microsoft Word document, I get a notice on the task bar, " Requesting Virus Scan ". The screen blinks a couple of times, then the document opens. I cannot find a setting in Norton, or Word for this. Any help greatly appreciated.

There is a setting in Norton AV that you can turn off. I don't have NAV any more but I think it is under Options>General and see if the "Office Plugin" is checked. Uncheck and your MS Word documents will not be scanned on opening.
