Thanks for the links. I will look at them but I just reinstalled IE7 this morning and I have the latest version 7.0.5730.11 but the problem persists. Here is the information on the Outlook 2007 beta version I'm using:

If you install IE 7 and find toolbars and/or buttons missing, you can sort this problem by updating your XML parser:

Can updating your XML parser be done before installing I.E 7 ?

 

AliciaJ--I certainly am no authority on the issue, but I would say the answer is YES.
The Parser was offered before the final version of IE7 was made available. And you can see from the download page that the version of IE is not mentioned as a criterion for installation. On the other hand if you are not having a problem and Critical Updates has not recommended the Parser, then why install it before you have the need?

 

PeteC--If true, MS certainly did not do a very good job of explaining that the Parser was for IE7. (Maybe it is Critical only for IE7.)

When I installed IE7 RC1, it installed KB915865.

Not having installed the final version of IE7 on my XP installation that's still running IE6, I don't know whether this update will be offered along with IE7 final.

The updated XML parses is actually in the installation package for IE 7, so no additional steps are required.

I mentioned the need for it as a lot of people were using the Yahoo package stripped of the Yahoo toolbar (and stripped of the XML update).
