I have a simple question about MS Excel. I have a spreadsheet that is very wide but not very long. Can I EASILY print the right half of the spreadsheet BELOW the left half of the spreadsheet on the SAME piece of paper ? If so, how do I do that?

    Thanks for any response.

I don't think there is a simple facility to do this. However, I use Office 2000, so there might be if you use a later version. You can create two print areas, but Excel then separates them onto seperate output pages.

In your situation I would do this:
    1. Create a new sheet to uses as a "Report" sheet.
    2. On the data sheet select the area of the sheet that holds the first half of the data and select copy.
    3. Go to the report sheet, right click at the top left of the sheet and select "Paste special ". Then click on the "Paste Link" button.
    4. Go back to the data sheet and select the area of sheet that holds the second half of the data and select copy.
    5. Go back to report sheet and select a cell in the top left of the area below the data you pasted in in step 3 and right click, select "Paste special ", and again click on the "Paste Link" button.
    6. Then print the report sheet

With this method, the data on the report sheet is provided by active links rather than straight copies of the data. That means that if the data sheet is updated, the report sheet will also be updated automatically.

Thanks Reggie for that suggestion. It worked good enough for my purposes. The Paste Link evidently does not transfer column widths and blanks are copied as zeros, but it serves the purpose.

    Thanks again.
