i have an .iso image from seagate and i am having problems creating a bootable cd per seagates instructions. machine i am using has roxio creator le and seagate is correct that when i double click on the iso file roxio does automatically initialize but there instructions to just click start record is not valid.

so my question is how do i make a cd bootable so i can use this .iso ???

have done this some years ago and i cant find my notes on it.

These directions are for the Dell version of Roxio Creator LE. I don't know if this will work for you.

Burn an ISO to CD: Roxio Creator LE-Dell Edition

I use BartPE to create boot CDs. Great for sorting out failed hard drives and serious virus problems. However, I am not sure if this will help. Basically you would boot using the BartPE CD, and then once you are up and running, swap that for the Seagate CD. If the Seagate CD will work that way, BartPE makes it very easy to create boot CDs.
