Booting either W98 or WXP

I have an old [600 MHz] PC. It was running, and I guess still is, W98. It has always been problematic. I was hoping I might perhaps improve the situation if I installed WXP. I did that, but it would not let me "update" W98, only install a "clean" WXP. So now, when I start to boot, very early on, I get a choice of selecting if I want to boot W98 or WXP [the default is WXP].

My question is, is there a way I can change it so the default is to boot W98?

    Thanks.

In Win XP right click on My Computer icon > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings and set Win 98 as the default from the dropdown list.

XLNT. Thanks. I see it even has an option to change the time it waits before beginning to boot the default OS, which would have been my next question, but will now remain unasked. :)

    Thanks, again.
