multimedia 9 no radio-update says its fine.

Hi I downloaded multimedia 9 and imeaditly it started loosing thins first the radio then started freezing is there a site that you don,t have to sign up for ,, to get a media player 9? win 98 SE

Windows Media Player 9, I might guess ?
MS does not tend to have "mirrors ".
I have not been to WMP downloads recently, but from past experience I would suggest:
Use Internet Explorer if you happen to be using a different browser.
Choose "Save to disk" rather than "Open ".
Do not have any other internet activity until the completion of the download.

Reinstall or uninstall then reinstall.
Check the default settings in Tools -> Options. Uncheck those that do not apply or you don't want running.
