sofimi - Welcome to the Board :)

Every indication in your dump file that you may have a memory problem - if so best to find out now while under warranty :)

Check out the memory using Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool Can be run from a CD on boot as I guess you have no floppy.

okay. thanks for the tip. "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" gave me the idea although the other parts i was not sure about. i'll try the the memory test on cd and let you know.

thanks a million for your quick reply. :D

I had a couple of problems burning the disc image (CDBURN doesn't seem to work and I had a mistake with Nero), but when I did succeed, it didn't detect any errors after 11 passes. I stopped after that.

Any chance I need to try other programs such as memtest86? Sigh. I do agree that I have to find out if there is indeed an issue so that I can act on it quickly.

Yeah you're right. I don't know if I'd rather have more BSODs to debug this thing or not.

Run memtest if you like, but I guess the results will be the same.

I agree with Arie - not a lot to go on and however hard you may find it - wait for the next BSOD.

I'll wait. With much anxiety. :( In the meantime I'll look around. This likes a very nice forum. :)
