Hello, its me again... except this time i dont need help connecting my network because i somehow got that to work, its the internet... it randly cuts out on the computers not directly connected to the internet

Xzalious - IP: 192.168.0.1 - Not DHCP Assigned
    Bloodwar08 - IP: 192.168.0.38 - DHCP Assigned
    Fumbduck - IP: 192.186.0.72 - DHCP Assigned

I have enabled Sharing of the internet, files and printers on each computer, the files and the printers work but the internet randomly cuts out and i cant seem to get Xzalious assigned by DHCP.

DHCP is enabled in my system but whenever i run ipconfig /all it says its not.

It appears you are using Internet Connection Sharing.
You would be better off using a router to share the Internet if have broadband service.

It is likely that the ICS is misconfigured.

    Loss of network connectivity
If your network is configured with a different IP address range than Internet Connection Sharing uses, you will lose network connectivity with the host computer. To resolve this issue, configure the client computers to automatically obtain an IP address, or assign each client computer a unique IP address in the range of 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254.

Xzalious I sure know what you refer to.
I had all kinds of the same problems years ago when I had a Network set up similiar to yours. Sharing is nice in a way but it can also be a BIG PAIN.
We have 3 machines and many times ( too many ) I would forget and shut my machine down and then the others could not use the Printer.
I sloved the problem(s) by going to a Router. And eventually got a Printer that plugged directly into it. Now each machine is 100% independent and no one depends on the other for anything.

Oh my god, thank you for you help Tony i've got it to work now and also, that Microsoft website answered wether or not i should have my net assigned by DHCP or not and it said the host computer needs to be manually assigned so now im very relieved and all 3 computers can access the internet.

Thanks for posting Billy, thats was my alternative to the solution.

Gtad to read that you got it working again.

How did you get it working ? By adjusting numbers or go to a Router ?

If not a Router then I would suggest you give some thought to it in the future. I believe ( again from experience ) that it is by far the better way by having the capability if keeping each machine independent of the others.
You can still share things if you wish to.

By just adjusting numbers if the main machine takes a trip South you are still out of luck with the other two.

Dynamic IP addresses are assigned by a DHCP server. So you need one on your network. Most modern internet routers have a DHCP server built into them. DHCP is also a service you can install onto a PC running a Windows Server OS (e.g. Windows 2003). If you don't have a DHCP server, you need to assign the IP addresses manually (also called statically). If static IP addressing is working for you, I would stick with it rather than trying to get a DHCP server just for the sake of it. Wait until you upgrade to using a router to share your internet and then use the DHCP service that is built into the router.

    Who is your isp?
If cable or dsl, which modem?
If you have broadband, and the modem connects to the main comp, then dhcp is assigned by the isp through the modem to your comp.
If use dialup, the same thing occurs, the isp assigns a dynamic ip.

The info above will enable us to fix your problem.

    Again from experience.

I still think your best bet and use of time is to stop sharing and installing a Router. Then --
Working with one machine at a tIme ( with the others off ) get it connected to the Internet. I had all kinds of problems until I went that route.
Once you get the Internet working then you can still share other things between the machines if you wish.

With ICS, setting Client (not HOST) static IPs is trickier than you might think, as entries need to be made in the HOSTS file.

    See: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q309642

If Automatic addressing is a problem for a client, consider rebuilding the Winsock service stacks. If XP Service Pack 2 is installed:

    Start, Run, CMD
    netsh winsock reset

Wait for a message that a restart is needed. Restart your computer.
