Drive Format Wth XP Upgrade

    This is an open question for a new member of BBs who I recently introduced to this forum. She has an XP Upgrade from W98SE. Her system has been corrupted through viruses and child abuse. She would like to format her hard drive and reload her system. Would it be necessary to first reload Windows98SE and then the upgrade after the drive format Or is there another way....Please advise ..I think I know the answer, but I need experts to verify my opinions. Your kind responses will be appreciated.

    No, if WinXP is an upgrade CD, it will ask for verification during install, at which time you can pop the Win98 CD in the CD drive.

    After that, install will continue.
