WinAntiVirussPro Removal....HELP...PC is abnormally slow, pop-ups

Ok, I keep getting WinAntiVirusPro 2006 pop-ups and other various pop-ups. Also, my PC is abnormally slow. Taking me a while just to type this. I ran a HIJACKTHIS....PLEASE HELP.
I also ran Spybot, Ewido and AdAware and have my PC protected with AVG.

Hi Doubledown and welcome.

As the infection which is usually associated with WinAntiVirus is Vundo, and that infection typically hides itself from HJT, we need to rename the Hijackthis.exe to something other than that.

So please rename the exe to whatever you like, re-run the scan and we should be able to see a BHO and an 020 entry. we can then continue with removal.

Excellent, now we can run the tool.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click *VundoFix.exe* to run it.
• Click the *Scan for Vundo* button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the *Remove Vundo* button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click *YES*
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click *OK*.
• Please post the contents of C:\*vundofix.txt* and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from 'Click the *Scan for Vundo* button" when
VundoFix appears at reboot

So, is there anything I should fix? Should I just use HJT to try to delete that one .dll in red above? Anything else look "odd" in my HJT post?

Sorry I havn't replied more timely, I have been having issues with the hosting company of my website and MVP issues as ell.

I've been coming across a few logs where Vundo is present yet the tool has not been working.

I'm going to need to get back and check the manual fix to see if it applies here, please be patient as I get to that.

I'll post something back here later in my day, most likely evening.

 

I used another program called VirtumundoBeGone.exe and it seemed to work. Not sure if it's back to full speed yet, but seems better.

 

That's great, that tool was going to be one of the ones I had intentions of checking out.

Post another HJT log file, so we can see what remains. These things usualy travel in packs.
