CPU usage history.

    Hi. Folks, Using Windows XP Home Edition. Recently fitted new video card and upgraded RAM. Now CPU Usage history in Task Manager shows computer as being out of control jumping from 2% to 97% and very slow. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Regards, William.

    Which process is using 97% of the cpu? (using the taskmanager>prosesses tab)

    Hello Goddez, Thanks for your reply. I found two items. I was not quick enough to get a full description before they left the list. What I got was LUCOMS I think that refers to SYMANTEC LIVEUPDATE. Hope you have some luck for me. Cheers, William.
