I made the switch from NS 7.1 to SeaMonkey a couple of weeks ago. Works just fine. I just noticed that the Cache and Cache Trash folder were missing from my new profile in SeaMonkey. Was this accidentally left behind when I transferred my old NS profile or is it just not needed? If the folders are needed can I just copy them to a CD-R and paste them to my present profile without anything bad happening?

    Thanks TRoof

    troof,

Your Cache settings are in Edit | Preferences | Advanced

You can select the Cache folder there for SeaMonkey, or you can elect to share the Cache folder of another Gecko Browser, such as Mozilla, Firefox, etc.

You can copy the Cache folder from the Netscape 7.2 Profile with no ill effects. I wouldn't bother with the Cache Trash. That folder holds Cache of any non ASCII files, which I doubt you would ever need.

You should, however, have a Cache folder if you have been using SeaMonkey for two weeks.
