hey guys just wondering if anyone could help,

when i try open a folder in a folder this message comes up:

    "Runtime Error!

    Program : C:\Windows\explorer.exe

    abnormal program termination. "

then explorer.exe resets and im back to the desktop. its the same with all my folders.

i double click the folder and it gets in, but if i try get into the folders inside that folder the message comes up.

the only way to get into the folders inside the initial folder is to 'right-click' and click 'explore' or 'open'

its really annoying because if i want to get to a folder to access something i cant double click, only right click and etc. etc.
ive tried scanning for viruses and spyware, and i have deleted some recent programs i installed.

    can anyone help?

Run MSCONFIG (Start > Run type msconfig, click OK) and uncheck everything under the Startup tab. Reboot the PC and see if you the error still occurs. If not, go back into MSCONFIG and check items one-by-one and reboot until you have found the culprit.

Although if you follow Troubleshooting Windows Explorer Errors you'd probably find the 3rd party shell extension that's causing the trouble.
