    I have MS Word 2002 (10.6804.6811) SP3

    I have created TWO word documents that I use to print Envelopes.

    The FIRST document contains the Data that I use - (DataEnvelope.doc)
    and the SECOND document (EnvelopeAll.doc) is the 'envelope address style' where the data fields make up the address fields on the envelope and I print the envelopes from this document.

    This works rather well BUT I have some questions.

    Every time that I OPEN the Second document (EnvelopeAll.doc) I get the following question:-
    ==============================
    Opening this document will run the following SQL command:
    SELECT * FROM C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Data Sources\DataEnvelope.doc
    Data from your database will be placed in the document. Do you want to continue?
    ==============================

    Q1.1 Why do I get this?
    Q1.2 How can I stop this question always popping up?

    Every time that CLOSE the Second document (EnvelopeAll.doc) I get the following question:-
    ==============================
    Do you want to save the changes to EnvelopeAll.doc?
    ==============================

    BUT I havent made ANY changes!

    Q2.1 Why do I get this?
    Q2.2 How can I stop this question always appearing?

    Many thanks

    Mike

    Q1.1 and 1.2
    The answers to those questions is here. To get this article, all I did is searched for
    on the MS site.

    Q2.1 and 2.2
    You actually have made changes, merely by merging the linked documents. I know of no way to stop word asking you to save here.
