I'm trying to install netscape 7.2 in XP. The installation program runs, all files seem to be placed in the appropriate places and Menu entries appear. However, the program will not boot!! I've tries uninstalling and re-downloading several times. I've also tried booting the program using the executable from Wondows Explorer, but to no avail.

    Ouch!! Anybody have any ideas?

Did you ever have a previous version Netscape6/7 installed, especially NS7.1?
If yes, did you uninstall it via Add/Remove? It should be uninstalled first, to get 7.2 to run. But, even if uninstalled there is a reported bug which does not remove a folder belonging to NS7.1, located in Common files|mozilla.org|GRE. This folder has a number starting with 1.4. It should be deleted manually, if uninstalling did not work. Or uninstall via Add/Remove, and start all over.
If your computer never had a Netscape6/7 installed, I don't know. I would forget about 7.2, any way. Look at the "sticky" section about Netscape.XX users.
