Suppose I installed McAfee, Symantec and Trend Micro (PC-cillin 2006) all at the same time. What exactly would happen if a virus entered my computer? Would all that software be frustrated, or what? Thank you.

    Hello abx,

I doubt that you would be able to even install the 3rd AV :)

Not a good idea to have multiple AV's - yes the system would lockup.

If you want to cross check your AV, then use the online scanners available from Trend or KAV and others.

This question has been asked at least once before: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=56904

Is this a general info question, or are you looking for suggestions for a new a/v?
The most important thing to keep in mind, regardless of which anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spyware and firewall you use is to keep it UPDATED, just as it is important to make sure you have all windows critical and security updates.
