Mouse + keyboard options are weird, shortcuts r gone...

A few weeks ago I accidentally let a virus through my firewall and it messed around with the settings. Thanks to the help of Tom Coyote, I successfully removed the bug. However, my options are still messed up and I do not know how to change them back.
Firstly, in Control Panel > Mouse and in Control Panel > Keyboard, they look different than they should be. The normal Windows XP look isn't there and some of the tabs are missing. For my mouse, the scroll tab is missing and I am unable to scroll with my touchpad. Only when I plug an external mouse in I then can scroll with my external mouse but still not my touchpad. For my keyboard, the little buttons up top (brighten, darken, softer, louder) doesn't work.
I'm using a Fujistu Lifebook with an Application Panel and that doesn't work either. I've checked the shortcuts and they are fine but as many times as I press, they don't appear.
These are the things I use often and have checked so far. Can anyone help?
