I would like to know how to set my computer to keep mulitple internet windows open so that I can go from one to the other without having to keep using my back arrow. I need to keep certain windows open all the time, and still be able to browse for other things. Thank you for your help

    Hi

Both IE7 and Firefox have tabbed browsing - I prefer the latter.
or you could right click links and choose 'open in a new window'
Or open multiple Instances of IE6 and load the sites that you you top stay there on some of these.

    Regards

    Chris

Hello lindadi125 and welcome to the Board,

Assuming that you're using Internet Explorer 6.0, from IE's toolbar at the top:

    Click on tools
    Internet options
    Advanced tab

Scroll down to "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" and click the apply button.

I'm moving your thread to the IE section.

    Regards - Charles

lindadi125--I am about to show my ignorance. (I never have understood all the fuss about Toolbar tabs for open windows in Vista.)
I run WinXP. If I open a new window by right clicking on the link|Open in New Window|I see the new window on the screen and the name of the old one appears as a small tab in the TaskBar at the bottom of the screen. I can go back to the old window by clicking on its tab. Then the old window appears and the New Window is accessible by clicking on its tab. I can open as many New Windows as I want and navigate back and forth using the tabs.
What I am doing is opening a new instance of IE in each case. So I can also see part or most of the old window by left clicking/holding the TitleBar (at the top) and dragging the new window out of the way. So I am not Minimizing any window.
I am assuming you do not want to see several windows at once on your screen. There is a way of doing that, too. (Of course they will not be full screen size.) Post back if that is what you want.
