Here's a direct link to Vison Computers homepage. It may be better to buy direct than from a reseller. Less problems when dealing with warranty which doesn't seem to be a strong point with TD.

    Visionman reviews from ResellerRatings.

I prefer building my own. I read hardware reviews at different gaming sites then go to Newegg for the parts. I have dealt with TD in the past and haven't had any problems. It just seems as though they are selling cheaper parts lately and their favorable reviews are dropping.

The setup you linked to uses a mainboard with the Nvidia 6100 chipset. This is an onboard graphics solution. If you look through this review of this mainboard chipset, it shows the onboard graphics solution of this mainboard benchmarking at 624 in 3DMark05 (a 3D graphics benchmark). For comparison sake, my video card benches at 8,900 and is considered a mid-to-high graphics solution.

Are you leaning toward this TigerDirect setup for budgetary reasons? You could add a video card later but that would cast doubt on the wisdom of buying onboard graphics in the first place.

My point being that you may be sorely disappointed in that setup's gaming performance. I know for a fact already that there are current games that will not run on that graphics solution.

If you can expand a bit on the level or type of gaming your nephew is interested in, maybe I/we could provide some useful and specific input.

In light of Whiskeyman's post, is your intention to buy a pre-fab system or do you build PCs?

    Gary
