I was wondering what regular maintenance tools you all recommened.

In addition to spybot/adaware/HJT, what else is there?

I just did a fresh install of XP and want to keep my system optimal. I was told there are better programs to use instead of msconfig to moniter startup items.

Just thought it would be good to see what everyone else recommends.

Well for all the tools I recommend, I have a page on my site:
    Ultimate Countermeasures Page

Excluding AV & firewall, those are, IMHO the best out there. And depending on how smart you surf, you certainly do not need them all.

BTW, I'm going to move this to Security forum, seeing as we're speaking security. :D

yeah, but what about tools for regular computer maintenance, like removing cache/temp files and reducing the number of programs at startup to save memory?
