I have a computer at home and one at work. I have the home account at work to leave mail on server and at home to leave on server at work. I was off Wed-Fri last week and when I came in today all my mail was gone. I checked the options and they are still correct. This has happened occasionally before but I never lost 3 days of emails. Any ideas??

OLDSALTY--First of all, I suggest you delete your email addresses from your post. Spammers go through websites looking for addresses to add to their lists.
Now, to your question. Are you saying the messages have been deleted from your OE Inbox? Or from the webmail servers or both? Is it only the 3 days worth of Inbox mail that you have lost? Or all mail in all boxes?
If you run a Search for *.dbx you may find the Inbox, Sent Items, Outbox etc. However, if have earlier mail still on your system, you will not be able to read these files with a simple click and to see if the recent three days worth are in there.
You can try the program DBXtract to read them. A free, earlier version is here

The latest version ($5) is here

    I 100% agree.

I myself also use a program named MailWasher to pre-screen the mail And delete anything that I do not like the looks of so that it soed not get downloaded by Eudora.

    Done! Thanks!

Just deleted from the mail server. I deleted the work mail I got at home after I read it and realized I could get it worked on when I got back to work. NOT!! They were all gone from the server.

Just the three days of mail I retreived at home is gone from the server at work.

    PS for BillyBob
I also use Maiwasher Pro. I like it but I just updated my firewall and AV and it came with some neet spam ware I have to read about and try. eTrust Internet Security Suite. But this has nothing to do with the mail missing from my server.

OLDSALTY--I understand you to say that when you deleted the email from OE using the email provider at home, they were deleted from the server used by the email provider at work, correct?
Perhaps you are using the same web-based server for both accounts?
In OE Tools|Accounts|Properties|Advanced tab there is a setting which says that if you delete email from OE, you will also delete from the server. Do you have that checked?

OLDSALTY--I hope this solves the problem. At least I got you to the right church if not the right pew.
