ok wen I boot my PC I get the memory count ect and I hit F1 and it tries to go into the the BIOS editing part but I just get a black screen.

Does this mean I have a dead BIOS?

Possibl a bad wire or something?

What's the history behind the problem?
    Is this a new build?
Did you make ANY type of change to the pc prior to this starting?

May sound dumb but are you sure F1 is the right key to get into your bios? I've never seen a mainboard where the bios entry key isn't F2 or DEL. The only time I've ever seen F1 displayed is when I, for example, swap out a cpu and the machine won't boot unless I go into the bios and update the settings, IIRC.

Yes I am sure the Screen that first shows says hit F1 for BIOS editing and ESC for fast post.
