I would like to know how to determine the MAC # for my
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter? I typed into a command prompt "Net Config Workstation" and a bunch of stuff came up but I'm not sure where the number is or if this even determines the number.
I purchased a Linksys Printer Server that has 2 USB ports for printers and also 4 Ports for an ethernet cable. I have a wireless system in my house and am using a wireless USB adapter to communicate with the router from one of my desktops. Can I just run a ethernet cable from my computer to the Printer Server and communicate with the router that way rather than use the adapter?
    Thanks for your help.

The mac for the adapter will be listed in Device manager properties as "hardware address ". The mac is also always printed on the device itself.

Funny, the device manager is the first place I looked but I did not see anything. I will look again. Thanks.
I know it is on the device but that requires opening my computer and taking out the card, because it is always hidden.

correct! I errer in stating that the mac is shown in device manager. (I have been using Debian Etch recently on my laptop & the mac is displayed in some device managers in gnome) I checked my xppro install & the mac is not shown in device manager.
