Anyone, please help me. I JUST got a computer a few days ago, and I was
installing the software. I tried to open Microsoft Office, but the
product key was wrong. So, being as dumb as I was, I put in the
Microsoft Windows XP Professional disk in my CD-ROM drive, thinking that
it was the Microsoft Office cd. Well, the disk keeps trying to install Windows XP
all over again, when I never uninstalled the original Windows. It worked
fine up to that point. As the system keeps attempting the SETUP, it says
it says the computer will finish in 39 minutes. However, at the 34th minute, the
setup shuts down, and reboots the computer. This happens continuously
and never gets past the 34th minute. Please tell me what I can do to
bypass this setup, maybe by pressing certain keys or something. Or if I
should, how to erase what it is doing, erase the system, and reload
    everything? Thanks.

    For clarification

    1. Do you have XP-Pro loaded on the PC?

    2. Will it boot up if there is no CD in the drive?

    3. Do you have lots of stuff on the disk you would hate to lose?

Yes, IWinXP is already loaded on my pc. I was playing Quake 3 the first day I got it. The only problem is this stupid installation setup.
No, the computer does not proceed without the installation cd already in the drive.
I don't care if I have to delete everything from my hard drive. I JUST WANT THE SETUP TO END!
Like I said, the installation setup reboots the computer at the 34th minute left to complete. It does this over and over again. I may have let this do it maybe 50-60 times already, and nothing happens.
Please tell me how to exit this ****. And how to erase anything if I can. Thanks.

Okay. I did the F8 and setup stuff. Now, when I restart the computer, either it is safe mode, or else the screen is completely black and I can't do anything. What should I do now?
