Is this at different websites? Or the same website. If so, what are you looking at? To me, it sounds like a single website, and, if it is netscape.com, I would not be surprised.

    updating 8.1

When using mynetscape as my home page, the personalized data such as selected cities weather and selected sports scores as well as CNN News Headlines no longer update. They used to change as per my setting or 5 or 20 minutes, but are now "frozen" and I have uninstalled 8.1 and downloaded and installed it again and the old data returns. ???

I am not sure why it did what you describe. Uninstalling/reinstalling a program to fix website problem is never a solution. As for mynetscape, it is a site why I am surprised if it works, at all, because of major changes. I checked my(own)netscape, and everything is up to date. However, I have not looked at the site for over three weeks. Since @netscape.net mail was discontinued on Aug26, and replaced with mail with the same username@aim. com, or @aol.com, you are no longer logging in a before. And, if you still have @netscape.net data, only, you would be stuck in the past. Delete that information from saved passwords, cookies, and cache. You may be requested to sign in, again, and, I don't think that you will be asked to select a domain.
