    Hi!

In Windows XP Professional, is there any way of making the programs list alphabetical, please?

All the programs I've installed since the original OS set-up are in order of installation and I'd prefer to reorder them alphabetically.

    Many thanks for looking! :)

    alphabetical order of programs

I read the answer, but on my computer this does not work. When I rightclick on any program nothing happens, no menu pops-up. What can be the reason for this?

Open the Taskbar & Start Menu Properties dialog, click the 'customize' button, 'Advanced' tab, under 'Start menu items:', Check 'Enable dragging & dropping'.

This will restore right-click functionality to the items and allow the Sort by Name.
