SQL Server error

Whenever my laptop computer starts up I get the following message
" Your SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with (Could not open SQLEVN70.RLL). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem" What is this error and how do I get rid of it. It puts an icon in the task bar after I click ok to the message. It does not seem to affect the computer in any way that I have noticed whether I just click ok or right click the icon and exit or close. This has been going on for quite a while but now I am tired of the message coming up ever time I boot. The message stays on the screen until I click ok.

You might be able to solve your problem simply by uninstalling your SQL server

Open your computer's Control Panel and double-click on Add or Remove Programs. Scroll through that list and see if you can find your SQL Server listed there. If so, click the SQL Server entry, click the Change/Remove button, and proceed with uninstallation.

If that doesn't work for you, then...

If you don't wants to remove the SQL Server you may DISABLE the service , it will not harm your computer and will serve your purpose. And if you wants to repair it copy sqlevn70.rll(not patched with sp3a) and then reinstall sp3a/sp4.

I went to the site and found the answer at the bottom. Clicked out and when I went back I could not get the answer back again. In order to get the answer I would have to subscribe for a monthly charge of $9.95. I do not have that many problems that would justify a monthly subscription to get answers. Anyway what I did see seemed like a lot of work for a non techie like me to get into. I had decided that the cure was worse then the problem and would live with it since closing it out every time it came up was just a little inconvenient. Since posting this question I had a problem with windows starting on my laptop and had a service tech check it out. In the process he got rid of the SQL server error.
