    Please help?

I was fooling around with the many address book (wab) files in this 98SE system. I ended up renaming the one the system used or something like that and botched it up. Long story short, I deleted all traces of wab files in this computer and started a whole new contact list in OE6 from what I had backed up on paper first.

The contact list works fine in OE6 but does not show up in Windows Explorer with the little book icon it should.

    It is located at: C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\Westlock-kub-recv\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\Westlock-kub-recv.wab

Another adress book file generated itself here called: office - angie.wa~, from some former user of this PC I suppose.

The Westlock-kub-recv.wab is the new one, I believe. The latter doesn't belong here any more. In either event, neither has the little book icon and both ask me what I want to open them with when I try to open them.

What's the fix for restoring things back to some sense of normality such that I can back up my contacts with a useable wab file?

I am comfortable within the registry if need be.

    Thanx in advance,
    Randy

chameleon--I humbly thank you for posting back with the good news.
I have no idea how you lost wab.exe, but now it is back. :D
