No cd-rom & cd-rw??

Greetings. I have uninstalled & reinstall both. Error message says "windows cannot load drivers ( code 31)" in device manager. Neither shows in my computer. Anyone have a clue? Thanks busterb

This problem can be attributed to Adaptec Easy Creator, after uninstalling it, but I have seen it with other similar programs.

Anyway, if this seems slightly familiar
