In the last three days, I have been blessed with about 15-20 BSOD's and reboots. There seems to be no particular time or activity that is causing this to happen.

I had 1.5 Gigs of Ram and it did not speed anything up so I took a 512 stick out and put it in my sister's computer. When I got home and booted mine up I started getting the problems. I have restored my C: with an Image file from two weeks ago and had no joy.

The blue screens I am getting are "Page_Fault_in_nonpaged_area" with 0x00000050 and several others including the IRQL_---------something and c000021a fatsyserr.

Here is my latest Dum from first boot this morn:

    Closing open log file c:\debuglog.txt

From my seat it looks like a reinstall of my ATI video card but the winlogon is strange as my logon has always been auto.

    Appreciate it.....

    Hi Bill,

Usually driver problems, but taking out that memory sure seems to have brought it on.

Have you tried the obvious - putting the memory back in?

    Tested memory? http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

    Regards - Charles

    Hi, Bill.

I think you're using the wrong dumps for analysis.

Since these are BSOD's, according to JoeHobart's post:

While I don't claim to be an expert :( regarding BSOD dump analysis, take a look at this 4-page article, Network World: "How to solve Windows system crashes in minutes" (specifically the last paragraph of page 3 and also read page 4). That's been a helpful tidbit for me when helping people with BSODs.

EDIT: If you have a MEMORY.DMP file, it might be at C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
I just saw someone's BSOD dump shown as being located there (this post).

EDIT #2: Also look for "Probably caused by :" in your DebugWiz-generated dump analysis for BSODs. It seems the Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.6.0007.5 shows this info near the beginning (which I think older versions didn't show) for BSOD dumps.
