    What do you suggest us to do to avoid getting pyware/viruses when using programs like Ares, Kazaa, Limewire etc?

    Besides NOT using them, the best you can do is to have a good AV program up and running and to scan for spyware Often.

    Why NOT use them? because of the potential spyware/viruses that can possibly be downloaded or is there someother reason beside that?

    you are always goin to get spyware & adaware once u use these programs.. using a good firewall can help , but nothing beats regular scannning an removing spyware

    As long as you stick to just downloading music or pictures, you should be ok. Start downloading programs and you're asking for trouble (IMHO).
