Does anyone know of a way to import an address book and favorites from AOL into Outlook Express and Internet Explorer. I didn't come up with much on Google other than a downoad program called ePreserve that sells for $25. I hate to shell out $25 for a one time use item but if that's the only way, then so be it. Thanks.

Thanks for the input MrBill. Your Google had a few more hits than mine so I saw a few different ones. I think I may just go with e ePreserve program - appears to be the most popular and the easiest way to do it.

One more question. Some of the address book migration tips/programs talk about Outlook only. As far as importing address books, will a process that works for Outlook also work for OE.

Yes it should. Why don't you print your address book out and then type it in. How many do you have in there. Bet that you could eliminate some of them also...

Good points. Probably a good time to cull out all the deadwood. I just checked and I have about 350 to 400. Probably could get that well below a hundred if I just took the time to look at them individually.

I thought I could find something quick and easy but as you point out I could probably do it manually in the same amount of time I'm spending researching - and get the benefit of a refreshed address book. Will let you know how things come out. Thanks.

Assuming in switching to OE you are using a new ISP. Just send everyone an e-mail in your AOL address book and request they send you an e-mail tp your new ISP address. When you get the e-mail in OE just right click on the senders name and choose "Add Sender to Address Book ".

    Balo,

Excellent thought. I have whacked a number of people off my address book and when I get my new e-mail address, I will do what you suggested. That should cut my number of addresses even more assuming some of the addresses have changed, died, etc. and those e-mails will probably come back as undeliverable.
