Forgive me if this has been addressed in previous discussions, but I may be misunderstanding it all. I am at the limit of my competence!

I would like to archive email on my laptop to a hard drive attached to my desktop computer, all connected wirelessly. From the discussion of archiving to a CD it seems like it might be possible, but I can't get it to go.

Can I create a dummy account on that drive and move mail to it? How? Archiving is the only advantage I can see to Outlook over TBird, and I'd like to get it going, as my antique laptop is filling up.

    Thanks

    LucieMac

You can do it , but not the way you are describing. The way Ramona has listed the steps, you do it on a CD-RW. In theory, you could do it on a separate drive, but, in practice, I would not know how to do it. I don't have a separate drive to test it.
Look at the above link, and, if you can figure it out, let us know.
