I just need a recommendation for a nice program that will easily (and quickly) move files from my main drive to the new 320g HD I just installed. Simple copy/move takes way too long when dealing with my Video directory for my XL2 camcorder and many thousand mp3 library.

    Any recommendations? TIA.

You won't get anything faster than a disk to disk direct copy. There's no magical software program that I know of which will speed up the process.

Why not set the move going when you retire for the night and let the PC get on with it.

FolderClone seems to do the trick. It may not be faster, but it streamlines the project by enabling multiple clone tasks to be set up and then executed. I can therefore do each of the 3-4 huge folders that I have at once when I do retire. It seems to run a little nicer as a background process than native copy/move.
