    Hi Guys,

While tracking down an annoying pop up, you know the type, I seem to have accidently deleted the sound drivers on a win 2000 system.

How can I re-install just the drivers. It has Realtek AC'97 Audio, however the yellow question mark ? that usually flags faulty hardware or hardware access does not appear on the system. Whenever the sound is accessed, the message appears "audio not installed ".

O.K. this is a reply to my own post. Seems after clobbering the sound drivers, while getting rid of a pop up nuisance, I then went and re-installed the wrong version of the drivers. However, just the action of posting here made me think of what I might have done incorrectly and go back and check and hey, presto, joy.

I read the posts on the Beaut Newt. If Newt ever passes this way, you made an impression on many of us, Newt with your thoughfull analysis and big fish. Best to you.
