Blank Page when opening OE

I was checking messages tonight and tried to forward something and got an error message "Error opening this message Not enough memory "
I closed the email window and tried to reopen it and I get a blank screen with only the toolbar File, Edit.... across the top, my name on the right side and OE on the left. Nothing else loads on the page. Not my folders or any messages. The bottom of the screen shows OE is trying to find new messages, then says Done, but nothing loads. What could be my problem. Did my system crash?

 

I rebooted my computer and I got my email back. But now when I want to compose a new message or reply to one, I am missing the SEND button and anything else that might have been next to it. I have to go up to the toolbar and send through file >send messages. Any advice?
