I don't know what happened, but suddenly, the hyperlinks within an inbox email no longer take me to the destination URL. I can still copy and paste, but I would like to find some way to restore the clicking ability.

I assume that you are using Outlook?

If so, check the setting for Tools -> Options -> Mail Format -> Compose in this message format. If this is set to plain text, links won't work. Try HTML format, but be aware that HTML messages are able to more than just display text.

If you're using Outlook Express, Click Here for instructions. While the page refers to IE blank windows, the fix is the same for links not working in OE.

Scroll down a little on that page and run the regsvr32 commands first. If that doesn't fix it, scroll back up a little and do the File Types edits. The problem often stems from the "short name" being in the "Application used to perform action" box.

I have had nothing but trouble lately when using Internet Explorer,so I switched to Firefox and woopee no more problems,Firefox is by far a better browser than Explorer ever was,you can check your emails with it just the same and it offers much more functions and its fun to use,,try it,Billy

This doesn't really fix the original problem. It will still be there. The purpose of the question is to fix the problem in OE or O not go to another program.
