    Virtual PC Is Now Free!

Whether Microsoft virtualization technology is an important component of your existing infrastructure or you're just a Virtual PC enthusiast, you can now download Virtual PC 2004 Service Pack 1 absolutely free. Microsoft is also offering the free download of Virtual PC 2007, with support for Windows Vista in 2007.

Interesting. Definitely worth a play if you have plenty of RAM.

For those that have never seen Virtaul PC...See the attached pic. I have my main XP running and a second XP and Win2k running all at the same time. Can switch between the screens....Its great for testing software. You can load IE7 beta for example - play with it and NOT save the "current state." You MUST have seperate keycodes etc....

Wow, free! I've used the trial version and have just bought another hard drive and was intending on buying Virtual PC. Today must be my lucky day. Hmmm, maybe it's time to head for the casino. :D

But - will it run on xp home sp2?

    Hi - All,
I had hoped vr pc 04 would run on xp home - the site doesn't say it won't, but just prefers xp pro!!
I d/l it and it seemed to be "there?" but, I tried to run linux Ubuntu 5.10 to play and learn, I can't get passed the main screens, linux loads fine it says, named and says it's there. But, can't seem to load the ISO image as one of the first steps??
Hope someone will say it will or won't work on my Dell....Sure wish GRC.com would get his VMware up and running, he's writing one...
    Thanks - John in dallas.
